4.2 With Service Providers

We share data with third-party service providers who assist with platform operations, including cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, and customer support. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.

4.3 Legal Obligations

We may disclose information when required by law, in response to legal process, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of the Company, users, or the public.

4.4 Business Transfers

If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, reorganization, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

You may correct or update inaccurate information through your account settings or by contacting us.

7.3 Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to legal retention requirements and ongoing obligations related to transactions or disputes.

7.4 Marketing Communications

You may opt out of promotional emails by clicking "unsubscribe" in email messages or adjusting your notification preferences in account settings. Transactional and service-related emails cannot be opted out of.

7.5 Cookies & Tracking

You may disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may limit platform functionality. You may opt out of analytics tracking through third-party opt-out mechanisms.

8. Third-Party Links & Services

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites and services that are not operated by us. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will delete such information promptly.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be stored and processed in the United States and other countries. By using our Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection laws.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete, and opt-out of the sale of personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

12. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. Our legal basis for processing is your consent and our legitimate interests.

13. Professionals and Find-a-Pro Data

To help homeowners find and connect with home-improvement professionals, we compile professional listings and contact details from public and licensed sources, including public building-permit records, government contractor-licensing databases, and publicly available business information accessed through third-party services. Some of these professionals are not registered users.

  • We collect only the information needed for discovery and outreach (such as business name, trade, service area, and business contact details) and apply data minimization.
  • A professional may request access to, correction of, or removal of information we hold about them, and may opt out of outreach at any time, whether or not they are a registered user.
  • Outreach communications follow our consent rules (see the EULA, Communications and Consent): automated and AI-assisted calls and texts are sent only after prior express written consent, and opt-outs (including replying STOP) are honored promptly.
  • Where a third-party source's terms require it, we retrieve and display that information on a live basis rather than storing or building an independent database from it.

14. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes become effective when posted to the platform. Your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
