11. Governing Law

This EULA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflicts of law principles.

12. Professional Discovery and Data Sources

The Service helps homeowners discover, evaluate, and connect with home-improvement professionals ("Professionals"). To do this, we compile and display Professional listings drawn from public and licensed sources, which may include public building-permit records, government contractor-licensing databases, and publicly available business information (such as business listings, contact details, and reviews) accessed through third-party services. We use these sources only as permitted by applicable law and by the terms of the sources themselves. Where a source's terms require it, we retrieve and display that information on a live basis using the source's stable identifiers, rather than storing, reproducing, or building an independent database from it, and we claim no ownership of third-party licensed content.

  • Some Professionals shown may not yet be registered users. Listings built from public information are provided for informational purposes, do not imply any endorsement, affiliation, or existing relationship, and may contain inaccuracies. A Professional may claim, correct, or request removal of a listing about them at any time by contacting us.
  • We do not independently guarantee the accuracy, licensing, insurance, qualifications, or work quality of any Professional. Homeowners are responsible for verifying a Professional's credentials and suitability before engaging them.
  • When we connect a homeowner and a Professional, we are not a party to, and do not guarantee, any agreement, payment, or work performed between them.

13. Communications, Outreach, and Consent

We send transactional and service communications related to your account and your active projects. Separately, we may contact Professionals to invite them to the platform or regarding a homeowner's request. The following consent rules govern all non-transactional and automated outreach:

  • Prior express consent required; written consent for automated and AI outreach. We contact a Professional through a given channel only after that Professional has given the consent required for that channel. For automated, autodialed, prerecorded, or artificial-intelligence ("AI") assisted marketing calls and text messages, we obtain prior express written consent(a clear, affirmative opt-in that identifies the channels and the sender) before any such contact. For live, individually dialed (human) calls and messages, we obtain prior express consent. We do not place automated, AI, autodialed, prerecorded, or marketing calls or texts to anyone who has not first provided the consent required for that channel.
  • AI disclosure. Where a call or message is conducted by an automated or AI system, we disclose that the communication is automated or AI-assisted.
  • Call recording. Calls may be recorded for quality, training, and record-keeping. Where required by law, including two-party (all-party) consent jurisdictions such as Maryland, all parties are notified and their consent is obtained before any recording begins.
  • Revocation and opt-out. Consent is specific to each channel and may be revoked at any time, including by replying STOP to a text message or requesting removal during or after a call. We honor opt-out requests promptly. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies.
  • Compliance. All communications are conducted in accordance with applicable law, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act, state telemarketing and call-recording statutes, and the terms of any third-party data source used to identify a recipient.

Consent for non-transactional outreach is captured through an explicit opt-in presented at the point of contact or sign-up, which is separate from and in addition to this Agreement.
